Naxxar
Naxxar was one of the ten parishes which existed in 1436. The present church was built by Tumas Dingli between 1616 and 1630; later on side ailes were added and a new facade was built.

St. Paul’s Church (San Pawl tat-Tarġa)
According to an old tradition, this church stands on the site where Saint Paul preached. The present church dates from 1696. Marriages may be celebrated in this church.

St. Mary’s Church of Xagħra
The church was built about the year 1500 and rebuilt in 1690 by funds provided by persons who were continually visiting the church. Tradition says that the church was first built by the Knight Xara who had made a vow that he would built a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary if he survived a shipwreck: the grace was granted and he built this church in the Naxxar countryside.

Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Way
In 1945 Marquis Scicluna gave the house he had in Naxxar to the Jesuits to use as their novitiate; between 1950 and 1954 they enlarged the building and dedicated the chapel to Our Lady of the Way.
