TWELVE NEW PRIESTS ORDAINED

On Sunday 3rd  July, 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP ordained 12 young men to the priesthood (5 diocesan and 7 from religious orders) during a celebration at St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta. The new priests are:

Fr Carmelo Aquilina O.F.M. Cap. 43 years old from Siggiewi, Franciscan Capuchin

Fr Stephen Attard, 26 years old from Mosta Parish

Fr Joseph Ciappara O.F.M. from Rabat, Friar Minor

Fr René Antoine Cilia, 25 years old from Qormi Parish (St George)

Fr Nicholas Dimech, 25 years old from Siggiewi Parish

Fr Andrew Galea O.F.M. Conv. 28 years old from Qormi (St Sebastian), Franciscan Conventual

Fr Stephen Magro, 25 years old from Zabbar Parish

Fr Gerald Mangion S.D.B. from Lija, Salesian

Fr Reno Muscat O.P. 46 years old from Qormi (St George), Dominican

Fr Colin Sammut O.F.M. Conv. from Qawra, Franciscan Conventual

Fr David Torpiano, 28 years old from Floriana Parish

Fr Jeremy Vella S.D.B. 30 years old from San Gwann, Salesian

    This picture showing the new priests lying on the floor showing their humility, surrounded by the clergy and by our archbishop in the beautful cathedral of St.John,God provided us with vocations and a rich heritage, as St John cathedral is one of the most beautiful cathedrals the world and the maltese are lucky to have it in our tiny islands thank you Jesus for providing us with so much.
